Institute for Creative Leadership governance board, advisory council and staff/facilitators effectively capture the essence and spirit of the ICL organization. They are a committed, highly experienced and long- standing group of individuals from complementary disciplines who share a keen interest in strategies for the community building process and shared leadership, and who appreciate and value leadership and team development both as a process and as an ideal.
Board of Directors
As a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit educational organization, ICL is governed by a diverse Board of Directors drawn from complementary disciplines. Each board member makes a vital contribution to ICL's governance quality, community impact, and organizational success as they:- Assess ICL's structure and functioning to ensure that ICL is a high performing organization
- Advance ICL priorities and capacity building efforts
- Champion ICL's mission and advocate for leadership program/services throughout the community
- Identify ways to connect ICL with cross sector institutions
- Insinuate ICL into relevant community issues, needs, and opportunities that are germane to ICL's mission
Community Advisory Council
ICL invites community and institutional friends to participate in its Community Advisory Council, a rich network of individuals who care about advancing community well-being through organizational and leadership improvement. These Council members offer valuable assistance, provide important community linkages, and bring expertise and support to advancing ICL's experiential leadership development aims. The role of the Advisory Council member is to augment the governing board as requested and to serve as that ever important sounding board of need in the community.
Community Advisory Council members also serve on ICL's Speaker's Network, contribute writings to ICL's Essays on Leadership, help with the Leadership Bound community education series and newsletter, and keep a pulse on prospective training opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. Executive Director/Facilitators
The ICL executive director and lead/adjunct facilitators are highly diverse, experienced and credentialed in experiential learning, organizational development, organizational behavior, human resources, psychology, etc. They have a reputation for professional excellence, sensitivity to client culture and needs, and skills and talents that bring a fresh perspective to the group process. The director and two lead and nationally trained facilitators have over 70 combined years with ICL.
