ABOUT ICL
History
The Institute for Creative Leadership is one of the region's - and nation's - oldest and most respected training organizations that has pioneered and advanced an experiential approach to facilitate learning around teambuilding, leadership, diversity, and personal/group effectiveness.
Founded in l974, the early and visionary leaders were committed to utilizing innovative Outward Bound and organizational development methods for the purpose of promoting the understanding, practice, and development of leadership and team development competencies in an active, engaging, and creative format.
The Institute for Creative Leadership provides today’s workforce needs with a wide array of training, retreating, and conference services.
Client Organizations
Both for-profit and nonprofit entities are served; over 60,000 participants from more than 500 corporate and community service sector organizations have benefited from ICL's unique training, techniques and services.
Prime targets of service delivery include a wide range of corporations (large scale organizations, mid-sized companies, small business enterprises) and human service, governmental, health, higher educational institutions, and community service sector organizations. Service delivery includes an entire workforce, or specific workforce teams, i.e., start-up teams, task force teams, leadership teams, cross-functional teams, self-directed work teams, newly formed teams resulting from mergers and acquisitions, community leadership teams, global teams, etc.
Outcomes
The Institute for Creative Leadership's training is creatively, experientially, and adaptively designed/facilitated to provide the most meaningful and memorable shared learning experiences for each participating client group.
All ICL sessions are designed to reduce interpersonal and organizational barriers, raise awareness, and facilitate teamwork. ICL training marks the beginning of creating a safe environment for the exploration and exchange of ideas, for professional and personal growth, and for experiencing an honest enjoyment of all team members.
ICL Training Facilities
ICL’s training facility is located at Hale Farm and Village. Additionally, ICL has satellite training sites at Renaissance Quail Hollow Resort, Polaris Career Center, and Hines Hill Center in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. ICL has also facilitated training sessions in over 26 states nationwide, and has been invited to facilitate a number of training sessions that involve a rich mix of international clients.
